Carpe Data provides next generation data solutions to insurance companies by leveraging social media, online content, and other forms of alternative data. Utilizing Carpe Data’s data solutions, insurers gain deeper insight into risks and significantly enhance many aspects of the insurance life cycle, including underwriting, claims, and book assessment.

Currently, I work with several peers and a mentor in a team on various research projects using data science. In doing so, I been trained to write papers and research proposals suitable for an academic environment. Examples of research include Global Health Equity analysis, digital representation of archeological findings, and a virtual reality representation of data.

• Performed research in the coexistence of competing species living with competition-colonization dynamics.• Modeled the coexistence of yeast strains through a series of differential equations using Python.• Wrote a paper on the environmental conditions and relationships between species sufficient for coexistence and presented findings to peers.
