1. Responsible for all project management, design and manufacture of process equipment orders.2. Hopper Engineering Associates is a multidisciplinary analysis and design engineering firm serving industrial clientele. Projects include:1. Performed strength check and structural improvement for crane system - worked closely with principal mechanical engineer and civil engineer manager, as well as external consultant. Calculated the Crane allowable lifting loads with considerations for high stress, shearing, bearing, bending, fracture, and fatigue. Made conceptual design of stiffeners and ring on crane with ANSYS to mitigate the possibility of collapse due to misalignment between pedestal and crane transition piece.2. Developed structural reinforcement for turbine generator at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant - performed modal and harmonic analysis with ANSYS to discern the vibrational behavior. Shifted the natural frequency of the turbine generator by installing stiffeners to prevent over stress by resonant vibration.3. Implemented structural modification for tornado missile barriers at Duke McGuire Nuclear Power Plant - created FEA models with LS-DYNA to simulate the impact between tornado-generated-flying objects and the barriers. Modified the conceptual design of the barriers to prevent the strike of flying objects on hardware.4. Inspected structural support for seismic at Exxon Mobil Refinery - partnered closely with refinery safety managers. Inspected vessel foundation and fireproofing for crack and spall, as well as corrosion on anchorage and steel support beam. Provided structural repair recommendations to mitigate possible damages by earthquake. Prepared inspection documentation per California Refinery Regulation.

Worked under automating manufacturing implementation - collaborated with senior manufacture engineers and assemblers, as well as machine shop floor. Designed tooling, using Autodesk Inventor, to optimize manufacturing process of satellite signal amplifier. Rapid-prototyped designs with 3D printer; complete with detailed drawings and 3D animations, to management and staff.

Worked under transportation security system upgrade - collaborated with senior electrical engineers and president, as well as manager from Montebello bus station. Investigated hardware requirements by visiting key sites of use. Designed packaging and electronics for security and surveillance equipment, using Solidworks. Simulated a 3D environment for virtual testing; coordinated the manufacturing process. Performed full tests of design prior to release and installation in bus for better control implementation.

Investigated delamination effects for a carbon fiber composite sandwich with a honeycomb core - performed nondestructive evaluation using piezoelectric transducers. Designed and built test fixtures to systemize testing and increase precision. Applied electrodynamics theory to calculate the change of elastic constants of the tested materials to detect damage.
