Also updating managers on financial markets and economic trends likely to impact on company’s operations. • Verifying and approving clearing agents’ charges, shipping charges, import duties, and other import related charges. • Oversight responsibility for all cheque payments and bank reconciliations. Ensuring that account payable controls are adhered to. • Support the development and implementation of new accounting systems, internal controls, and identifying areas for cost cutting and improvement. • Providing leadership and improving team performance. Ensuring that recorded transactions and reports generated are complete and accurate. • Industrial Costing: Costing of imported raw materials, engineering spare parts, production consumables, finished goods and Job costing of security grilles.• Budgetary control and variance analysis for non-manufacturing cost centers. • Import tax relief administration and reporting (Duty Drawback).• Payroll administration: prepare payroll, SSNIT & PAYE returns.• Providing leadership and mentoring of junior staff.
