About Albert Tijam

Tj Tijam’s primary areas of concentration are youth development, education, research, project management and organizational development.He was involved in foreign-funded programs such as the USAID-funded Alliance for Mindanao Off-Grid Renewable Energy (AMORE) Program from 2002-2004 and the AusAID-funded Second Land Administration and Management Program (LAMP2) under the Bureau of Local Government Finance of the Department of Finance (DOF) from 2009-2010. Aside from DOF, he also worked for the House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal under the Office of the Secretary of the Tribunal from 2007-2009. From 2010-2012, he was the Head of Academic Support of Southville Foreign University. TJ worked as a Learning Manager of the Executive Development Program for State Universities and Colleges; and the Master in Public Management major in Rural Development under the Graduate School of Public and Development Management of the Development Academy of the Philippines.TJ was likewise involved in special projects such as the World Intellectual Property Organization-Philippine Intellectual Property Office Research Paper and its Presentation in Manila in 2005, and the University of the Philippines Manila Institutes of Health Study Group for the Philippine Universal Health Care in 2012. TJ was an active student leader. He was elected as a University Student Council (USC) Councilor in 2001, and strenghtened created several student organizations such as the University of the Philippines Children’s Rights Advocates League (UP Cradle) in 2006. TJ’s involvement in youth and organizational development resulted to him being awarded as one of the Ten Philippine Young Leaders of Asia Society in 2007.
