The Wake Forest Downtown Revitalization Corporation (Wake Forest DRC) is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed in 1984 by a group of citizens concerned by the increasing vacancies in downtown. The founders realized that Wake Forest could not retain its individuality without a solid and vibrant 'heart'.Today, with the support of the Town of Wake Forest, a dedicated group of volunteers is continuing their work. Even though Downtown Wake Forest is home to many unique, independent businesses, we must remain active and vigilant to face the challenges of today's business world. In 2003, the Town of Wake Forest began donating funds for a professional downtown manager which enabled us to enlarge the scope of our operations. We are optimistic about the future of Downtown Wake Forest and hope you will be a part of our accomplishments.
