Hi there! I am a Permaculturist inventor, Emergency Planetary Technician, and author of over 20 books. CO2@birth: 310.4. I am no longer traveling the world but still design drawdown COOL village projects and am writing more books and appearing on YouTube, Twitter Spaces and Clubhouse. Within the limits of the Covid pandemic, I still operate a permaculturally-designed van-life campground offering convivial hospitality within The Farm intentional community, with rentable cob and strawbale cabins set inside a historic communal experiment spanning 5000 acres, and now available as a feature film location (www.hippy.place). My main gig is still reversing climate change using a host of natural carbon solutions and Ecosystem Regeneration Communities.Specialties: climate science, energy & law; UN consultative status at DPI-NGO/ECOSOC; permaculture design certification & teacher training; extensive field experience on six continents in all aspects of appropriate technology, ecological restoration, and holistic village design.My latest book, Retropopulationism, is out in paperback and on Kindle. Dark Side of the Ocean was a Yale Climate Earth Day pick for 2021. The children's version is Making Waves. BURN: Using Fire to Cool the Earth, with Kathleen Draper, is a whole enchilada climate solution in all formats, from Chelsea Green, also available in German and Italian. Transforming Plastic: From Pollution to Evolution came out in April 2019. Taming Plastic is the children's version, and Die Plastik Wende in German.
