Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer in Cisco Data Center (Insieme) Network Division. Hardware Engineer responsible for analyzing and debugging customer field-returned Cisco Nexus 9000 EOR & TOR Switches and Nexus 3000 TOR Switches. Working alongside with hardware, software, and quality assurance engineers in isolating & root causing issue and coordinating corrective actions to prevent future failure. Issues dealt with are dynamic and range from Hardware design, power related issues at system level, component issues that require debug with supplier/vendor, and SW/Network related issues in regards to code & configuration for example. Core responsibilities of the position and skills acquired:- Creating & Running TCL/Python/EEM Scripts to execute in Nexus Switches for Debug and Testing- Debugging power related issues at systems level via power sequencing, DMM, and oscilloscope.- Examining material composition with SEM/EDX Material analysis and X-Ray examination on PCB- Conducting L2/L3 Network Trafficking on system as well as modular level (LC to Fabric)- Conduct weekly meetings with international teams to support & advise on debug, conduct meetings with third party vendors for further debug at component level for component EFA.- Present high level findings to account team to address issue from customer and next steps moving forward on corrective actions.- Routinely using circuit analysis experience for hardware debug at PCB level- Working on SSD/SATA memory related issues at kernel level for debug - More to update.
