My primary practice is counseling new and established companies concerning the protection of their intellectual property ("IP") assets from the development stage through distribution. I negotiate complex technology transactions involving software and other types of IP in various industries, and help clients select, clear and protect their brands through trademark and copyright registrations, domain name acquisitions, and enforcement actions. I also provide legal advice concerning general corporate and employment matters and assist with mergers and acquisitions, particularly corporate due diligence. I am a member of the Austin Intellectual Property Lawyers Association, Austin Bar Association Technology and Computer Law section, the State Bar Computer Law and Labor & Employment sections, and the State Bar of Texas. I also serve (or have served) on the board of directors for Concordia University Texas (Chair 2014 - 2016), Leadership Austin, the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Austin Young Lawyers Association and Blueprint Leadership Council for E3 Alliance.
