    Worked under the Vehicle Controls Department, specifically with the Attitude Control Systems Department. Worked with the Coordinate Rotational Digital Computer (CORDIC) algorithm, which allows trigonometric equations and other complex computations to be performed solely through the use of simple computations, such as addition and subtraction. Allows the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) to perform trigonometric functions, as it is only able to perform simple computations. Also implemented fixed point into existing functions in order for numbers to be read as fractional bits rather than decimals. Fixed point allowed the FPGA to read the numbers directly, rather than needing to convert floating point, or decimal, numbers into fixed point. Making this change increased the efficiency of the FPGA, simplifying the process that was previously used. All work done with MATLAB.
