Fixed Income product control specialist with specific expertise in the credit markets, focusing on corporate bonds, preferred equities, and derivative credit products including credit default swaps and indices and interest rate swaps• Perform bimonthly CDS and CDS Index independent price verification (IPV) by sourcing spread/pricing levels from external dealers and vendors to ensure traders are marking their books to fair value: • Utilize a risk-based and revaluation approach to analyze trade population consisting of over 75,000 trades by ticker, maturity, restructuring clause, payment frequency, and market tenor • Streamline completeness process to verify trades sourced from the bank’s risk & pricing system reconcile with the ledger • Analyze multiple external pricing services to evaluate data quality and assign variance classification • Summarize and discuss results with senior management and the trading desk by highlighting conservative and/or aggressive behavior and accurately reporting P&L. Convene monthly with trading desk head to discuss global results. • Construct defined methodology and language modifications to be incorporated into existing desk level procedures• Substantiate trading P&L for a +$400MM annual business by investigating mark to market movements, new business trading activity, and debt underwriting deals. Monitor daily credit spread movements and amendments to Federal and Monetary policy• Supplement P&L commentary with market color for Investment Grade, High Yield, Financials, and Index Trading desks• Prepare global balance sheet and research movements in inventory, third party repo, and derivative asset and liability accounts, while monitoring funding implications and forecasts• Book and maintain monthly journal entries, prepare quarterly Fed disclosures, and respond to urgent Fed and Audit requests
