Responsible for managing 3rd Party Logistics/Transportation service provider, review their processes and ensure achievement of agreed service levels.Achievements: Negotiated an improved “Contract” with Kerry Logistics based on a optimized storage capacity (150% effifiency), a reduced storage rate of S$21.50/pallet (down from S$60), coupled with lower handling rates. The revamped warehousing contract generated an annualized cost savings of S$600K. Replaced main transportation contractor (PTC) with a dedicated group of transporters based on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Re-calibrated distribution service level, eliminated “minimum delivery points”, furniture assembly charges and reduced cost/drop by 20% ($31/drop to $26/drop), resulting in an annualized cost savings of S$700K in distribution.
