I’m the director of the Memory Unit and the Alzheimer’s laboratory of the Neurology Department at the Hospital of Sant Pau (Barcelona, Spain). The goal of our team is to provide patients with the best medical care and the latest research advances. Our laboratory studies the novel biochemical and imaging biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases as well as the molecular basis of Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies. I’ve received my M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona. I completed a 2.5-year fellowship in memory and movement disorders in the Memory Disorders Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital and I’ve published more than 120 publications.
