* Leading research and development in experimental dynamic spectrum access (DSA) / television white spaces (TVWS), 5G/6G, smart and ultra-low power antennas and energy efficiency, spectrum management and wireless, compatibility studies (especially analog TV v LTE); performing research in passive radars, digital television broadcasting and broadband convergence. The activities also extend to human capital development (supervision of graduate students, mentoring junior staff) and collaboration with universities.* 4 awards in this position: Collaboration Award (CSIR, 2018), and 2x Best paper awards (SATNAC 2018 and IEEE WAC 2019), and 1x NSTF corporate innovation team award.* Several times Acting Research Group Leader (incl. employment of staff, research group strategy planning, budget planning etc.) during several periods. * Multiple invited speaker/panel member roles. * Invitations to/participation in meetings with government, incl. at Ministerial levels
