The experience of a reporter, anchor, producer, videographer, and video editor in television news. These skills are what most midsize and large companies need in house, and what smaller companies need as an outsourced asset. Career strategic genius or coincidence? Probably the latter, but it is an exciting time to be creating content. Sure today you call them storytellers, content marketers, or some other buzzword yet to be the latest bandwagon, but it is all based on good writing, creative concepts, and visuals that fulfill a need or touches an emotion. It helps I was early on into video on the web and social media. It helps I spent a ton of time in marketing and communications working with C-level executives in public companies and national political and policy positions. The confluence of social and multimedia has created the following environment for consumers of information:- increased video consumption on a variety of devices including mobile,- the emotional and visually demanding user, and - the demand for continuous creative content is fertile ground for the skills I have developed over a 30 year career.Bottom line advice is you either have to be boldly creative, or incessantly persistent and relevant with your content to be successful. Multimedia Strategist And ProducerGive It A Think Apr 2002 - Nov 2021Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul AreaGive It A Think is a multimedia strategy and production company that was inspired by my video work with Provident Partners in the early part of this century in social media. We help organizations and agencies devise and produce video content for several objectives and in several formats. We do videos for content marketing and sales process objectives. We also produce video content in long form documentary style. Today the buzzword is storyteller. Ok I concede I use the word because search best practices and recruiters say I should. Fact is, reporter, journalist, producer, and yes dare I say even some marketers, it all means the same if you are good at communications. We attempt to engage a person by packaging information in a story.
