I have vast experience in the area of criminal law. I served as an Assistant Public Defender, representing criminal defendants in all stages of criminal proceedings. I frequently represented individuals involved in serious criminal cases concerning drugs, weapons, sexual assault, kidnapping, and murder. I represented individuals who are under investigation by state or federal agencies such as the FBI, IRS, and banking authorities. I also represented potential targets, subjects, and witnesses before Grand Juries. I handled all aspects of criminal cases including investigations, grand juries, preliminary hearings, trials, negotiated non-trial dispositions, sentencing, and appeals.

I served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Joseph P. Cronin, from June of 1995 to August of 1996. While serving as Law Clerk, Mr. I reviewed and shepardized cases proffered by litigants in support of their motions and oral arguments. I authored memoranda describing the strengths and weaknesses of the litigants' positions. I reviewed Hearing Transcripts, Statements of Matters Complained of on Appeal, and other components of the Record. I researched issues raised on appeal, and authored memoranda supporting the Court’s decision. I was employed as a Supervisor for Raytheon Engineers and Constructors from September of 1990 to August of 1994. I researched new and existing Federal and State regulations for handling hazardous materials (i.e. Asbestos, Heavy Metals, Hydrocarbons). I directed and enforced staff compliance with these regulations while completing routine and emergency maintenance tasks at petrochemical installations. I planned and scheduled multi-million dollar maintenance inspection and analysis "turnarounds." I managed various union crafts and ensured compliance with OSHA regulations. My experience with Raytheon provides me unique insight in litigation involving industrial accidents and workers’ compensation.

Wilmington, De

I was employed as a Supervisor for Rollins Environmental Services from January of 1987 to December of 1988. I was assigned to the project manager's staff on the first state directed CERCLA ("superfund") action performed in Pennsylvania, more commonly known as the Wade Site located in Chester, Pennsylvania. I supervised the excavation of hazardous material according to contract specifications. I devised truck routes and tracked the removal of material from hazardous waste sites to authorized remediation facilities. I created emergency response procedures in the event of an accident during the remediation process. I documented all work and communicated progress to Federal, State, and private organizations, and I supplied video and written documentation of all completed assignments which proved instrumental in the successful negotiation of a $250,000 contract change order. I also resolved several on-site union disputes. My experience with Rollins Environmental Services provides me with unique insight in litigation involving exposure to hazardous materials.
