Roles include providing leadership for the ICTAU, by working with partners to increase service portfolio for ICTAU members while also working at the voice of the private sector in engaging with government on policy review and development, formulation of industry-specific legislation, and development of opportunities for partnership with various domestic and foreign entities.Key outputs include membership growth, increasing relevance and influence of the Association within the sector and among sector stakeholders, and striking the requisite partnerships with government and other stakeholders that enable ICTAU to achieve its vision of "promoting ICT in Uganda".

The Secretary General of the ICTAU is directly in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Association as he/she also heads the Secretariat. During my tenure, the Association grew to 354 Individual members in addition to various Corporate subscriptions. I also spearheaded the formulation and implementation of the Netherlands Trust Fund (NTF III) project; a 3-year USD 1Million project in which 30 companies were selected and subjected to various initiatives that target to enhance their export competitiveness on the global market. The overall goal of the NTF III was to increase export competitiveness in the sector all round. Part of my role at ICTAU was to identify and sign off opportunities for the ICTAU to support and/or sponsor events that promote the Industry; ranging from Startup Competitions, ICT Expos and forums, e.t.c. We also managed to organize a series of local industry events, called "LANs" (from the technical term, Local Area Network) that aimed to provide networking opportunities for members as well as maintain industry cohesion.

Content planning, writing, supervising writers, website administrators ans graphics designers for PC Tech's print and online edition.

Helped lead the redevelopment of "Uganda Goes Online (UGO)" web portal, initially from Version 1.0, basic directory to a dynamic, content driven web portal that grew to become one of the most popular websites in the country. Implemented new backend platforms and redesigned front-end UI, and achieved a 400% growth in traffic year-on-year.Also supported clients in developing social media concepts and strategies; key of these being Samsung Uganda and Heineken.

Redesigned the website of the University at www.mubs.ac.ug, developed a new e-learning portal, called eMUBS, based on Moodle LMS, and also set up departmental website forneach administrative and academic unit. I was also tasked with Staff Email administration.
