I am a Bi-Lingual Social Worker/Board Certified Hypnotherapist, EMDR and Substance Abuse Counselor/Opiate Overdose recovery specialist.I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers-NJ Chapter.My true passion in my field is strength based approaches to individual and group therapy. I have worked with all kinds of populations. I started off with the adolescent population at the boys and girls club then worked with the homeless, mentally ill, disabled, veterans, substance abuse and with the elderly in a variety of contexts such as private practice, outpatient psychiatric centers, psychosocial rehabilitation centers, and home-based therapy visits. More importantly I enjoy working with children and adolescents and the family dynamic that surrounds them.In the community, I've worked for agencies that provided in home therapy to families in need. Many homeless at first to then be transitioned into permanent housing. I also spend my time volunteering in my community. My educational history includes a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University and a Bachelors in Organizational Management from Nyack College. Education is a major component in my career, I love to learn. As I continue to advance my training throughout my career in constant participation in seminars, continuing education opportunities and graduate level courses.A very dedicated social work professional with clinical, administrative, and research skills. Strong advocacy skills for individual client success; experience in aging, homelessness, addictions, adolescent settings and working with the disabled population and trauma survivors. Through experience I have provided exceptional advocacy within the Mental health field, on both a micro and macro level. I Understand patience and focus as being necessary for my client's success.
