I work as an Electrical Instrumentation &Control Technician at the ORMAT North Brawley geothermal electrical generation facility. My main activities are preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and trouble shooting of low, medium and high voltage electrical systems, instrumentation and control systems. Maintain accurate records through CMMS program (MP-2) of all the test of motor control centers, transformers and various electrical equipment for predictive maintenance and planning purposes. Maintain a professional rapport with vendors, contractors, engineering and other departments to achieve a common goal of minimizing costs and maximizing production in a safe and effective manner.Performs maintenance on HMI CITEC SCADA software graphics and database to include loop and ladder tuning and testing of power plant control systems PLC.Maintains accurate and up to date instrumentation preventive maintenance schedules and calibration data on electrical equipment, control systems and instrumentation.Monitors, installs and repairs turbine generator sets electrical & instrument components. Also I work in the electrical and control system for rigs SCR house (silicon controller rectifier) and drilling control systems.Troubleshoots, repairs, electrical AC and DC motors. Including instrument calibration and performs preventative maintenance.
