● 2S.I. has more than 20 years of experience in developing and distributing software for structural and geotechnical engineering. Software development is complemented by an huge number of civil-industrial-mechanical designs. 2S.I. collaborates with Universities and authoritative corporations in seismic engineering and finite elements analysis such as EUCENTRE and NAFEMS which allow to continuously check the reliability of the products and a constant improvement of the software.● At 2S.I. I develop finite elements models to study reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures. I frequently study existing structures evaluating their behaviour and their safety against seismic actions, even considering reinforcements to improve their safety level.● In the last years I've been assigned to check the safety of several civil and industrial structures in reinforced concrete and masonry which have been damaged by the seismic events in 2012. Between the most interesting cases I took care there are "Casati" medium school of Porto Garibaldi, a nursery school in Ferrara, in Monestirolo and an industrial complex of precast reinforced concrete structures in Ferrara suburbs.● An important part of my work is to provide advices about finite elements modelling and analysis to other professionals.● I also train professional and students: I am a spokesman in training courses organized by Engineer Associations and I give lectures in several Italian Universities about putting into practice theories of mechanic and dynamic of structures and regulations prescriptions. ● Italia Zuccheri is a cooperative with more than 50 years of history which groups 7000 farms that cultivate sugar beet and directly produce sugar managing all the phases of manufacture, from the seeding to harvest and processing.● In my experience in Pontelongo factory I took care of the ion exchange system and I did the chemical analysis which allows to control the processing.● It was interesting to have a live view of the plants and systems till that moment I saw only in the pictures of my engineering books.
