Supervising 02 Drilling Engineers looking after 02 land rigs (2000 HP). Approving Drilling & Completion Programs and Cost Estimations (AFE’s). Search of new technologies to reduce drilling time and cost as well as increase their productivity. Weekly TOTAL Oil & Gas reporting. HSE indicators and KPI’s follow up. Interact with other managaments to assure all the process of Drilling and Completion can be executed as per plan, Prepare and present results to partners.

Drilling & Completion program preparation, AFE and operations follow up for 01 land rig (2000 HP) in Yucal Placer Field (Dry Sour Gas Field (hard and abrasive) – High Temperature (350°F) Deviated Type S Wells – 11000 ft TMD / 8000 ft TVD). Daily drilling report cost and coding review. Preparation and at field implementation of perforating, nitrogen displacement with CT and well testing. Coordinate operations with suppliers and service companies. Material and equipment selection and cost optimization. Part of the Well Performance Group which was in charge of proposing Well Interventions (liner and tubing mechanical clean out, scale preventing as a main goal, and acid HCL/HF stimulations).

Drilling program preparation, AFE and operations follow up for 01 land rig (1500 HP). Participating on morning operation meeting on a daily basis and reviewing drilling report costs and coding. Complex anti-collision analysis due to high well density clusters. Leading the drilling team (06 Drilling Engineers and 04 Land rigs drilling horizontal wells on a shallow Extra Heavy Oil reservoir). The average number of wells being drilled monthly was between 6-8, resulting on a very dynamic operation. Planning of Drilling Sequence (batch drilling). New Projects launching and follow up. Budget Analysis and follow up. Material and Contract request and new technology selection and implementation.

Prepare and follow up well completion programs (Progressive Cavity Pumps driven wells + diluent injection at several points and real time monitoring) and intervention programs (PCP change, fishing, stimulation, re-completions, well service), AFE’s and real cost. Contact service companies and quotation analysis. Execution of tender processes, and equipment/material technical requirements for purchase including presentation to the partners/high mangment. Delivery of weekly, monthly and annual reports.

Supervised an average of 3-4 wells daily using Flush By unit helping to identify and solve problems in wells completed with PCP’s with normal and continuous rods. Supervised with 0 accident and high success rate well services and complex fishing operations with 500 Hp rig. Supervised successfully 05 sand clean outs using Concentric Coiled Tubing. Gain enough confidence from my supervisors to start working as Well Service Engineer from the HQ’s in less than 1 year
