● Developed a 3D imaging device that could be used to obtain the size of a fish from a distancewhile underwater without the need for the invasive capture and release method● Created 3D reconstructions of various household objects using the 3D imaging cameras both inair and underwater to assess the camera’s capabilities, this led to us moving forward with the useof LiDAR cameras for our device because they demonstrated higher range and accuracy● Researched materials using CES EduPack and designed a waterproof housing structure for thedevice that allowed the camera to be submerged alongside its required electronic components● Constructed C++ software used to calibrate the camera to account for the refraction of light thatwill occur underwater in order to allow the camera to function properly underwater

● Researched plasma using the CSDX, a machine that uses electromagnetic waves to generateplasma, and magnetic fields to keep the hot plasma from touching and melting the device walls● Performed Langmuir probe analysis, these probes are metal rods hooked up to a circuit that webuilt, the rods were inserted into the plasma to extract data that we used to calculate informationsuch as the plasma’s electric potential● Designed a MatLab algorithm to analyze the data pulled through the Langmuir probes in order tocalculate desired information such as the plasma’s current, electron velocity, and electron density
