After a time on my own, I decided to go back to the corporate world. I began working for HH, a multinational British company, as a commercial analyst, helping to organize data and get insights from information.

When the pandemic began, I was working at an airline and I was laid off together with many more colleagues. I found myself in a tough situation since corporations were not on a hiring spree at that moment. Main Achievements:- I analyzed the cards and I decided to change course and reinvent myself. I decided to become an online Spanish teacher. I found the tools to do it, I recycled and updated my knowledge, and I just did it. - Not without surprise, it worked out better than expected. I was able to feel comfortable in a new role and earn a living. And I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the planet and help them improve their Spanish.

I decided to change jobs because the commuting was grueling, if you know this city or similar ones you may understand what I mean. And I changed sectors too, getting myself into unknown territory once again.Main Achievements:- I grew my Microsoft Excel comprehension; I reached an advanced level where I could do most excel related tasks on my own. I even learned Visual Basic and Macros, I just did not use them frequently.- I became familiar with new data visualization tools such as PowerBi and I was able to pass the knowledge to other colleagues to make their jobs easier. I enhanced my communication skills in the process. - I collaborated effectively in management decisions and even went beyond by proposing new ideas or the scratch of outdated and time-consuming tasks. I focused on building meaningful business cases.

After my year in Mexico City ended, I stayed because I had found the woman that is now my wife. I braced myself to navigate its bureaucracy, and after a while, I got the work permit, and with it came this new position.Main Achievements: - I worked on giving fair price valuations to financial instruments with scarce liquidity through a methodology that I learned in my first month on the job. - Daily customer service with institutional clients. Department manual book preparation and successful regulator audits participation.

After my period in Dublin, I was hired by MAPFRE as an intern for a project in its Mexico subsidiary. I became involved in the investment Department at the same time as I move continents to live in a different country for the third time in my life.Main Achievements: - I effectively learned the mechanisms of the Mexican financial system and was able to follow the insights into how current news and official movements affected our investment positions.- I understood, and I was part of the day-to-day operations of an investment department collaborating in analysis of market, debt, and equity instruments, as well as presentations and compliance.

After my Master´s, there was a second phase where I became an intern at the Economic and Commercial Office of a Spanish Embassy. I was sent to Dublin, and I was tasked with reporting making and trade analysis.Main achievements:- Presentation of macroeconomic and socioeconomic reports for the Economy Ministry in Madrid & ECOFIN meetings at the Irish Finance Department.- Steadfast support in trade enhancement activities; fairs attendance, trade, and current affairs monitoring, and a link between potential investors and exporters with institutions and importers.
