I am an experienced Professional Structural Engineer having worked for over thirty years uninterruptedly in the construction industry.I have obtained the Chartered Professional Status in Italy in July 1992 and I have been registered in the Italian NPER since then.I have effectively worked as a Chartered Professional Engineer since the beginning of 1997 when I founded Studio Techné srl together with my partner Massimo Bottega.I have strong technical and management skills and extensive experience in leading teams of engineers and drafters.I moved to Australia at the end of January 2007 and I have been working for Aurecon (formerly Connell Wagner) from 23 April 2007 to 5 October 2012 and for FORGE Power from 12 November 2012 to 14 February 2014.I am still a Partner of Studio Techné and since 26 May 2014, I am the Principal Structural Engineer at Mc Dowall Affleck.I have been a Professional member of IEAUST since 2002, I have achieved Chartered Status in Australia on 30 January 2008 and I have been registered in the NPER since then.I love mentoring young staff and I am a strong believer in transferring knowledge.As Principal of the in-house Civil Structural team of Forge Group Power I have been involved in the design and construction of three power plants in the Pilbara for BHP, Rio Tinto and Horizon Power.During my time at Aurecon, I have been involved in medium size projects such as the Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre Extension, the Perth Domestic Airport interim expansion, the South Hedland MPRC, the ASKAP infrastructure project, the Solomon 2 MIA Project and some smaller projects for Rio Tinto.At Studio Techné, as the leader of the Structure and Infrastructure team, I was responsible for the design of wind farms civil infrastructures and I have been involved in a significant amount of heavy industrial work, including the upgrade of a couple of geothermal power plants, and the design of a new Megayacht construction facility.
