Supervise team of Mechanical engineer supporting ENERCON's role as Engineer of Choice for FPL work. Review engineering design change packages prior to submittal to FPL.

Project management consulting services to the engineering industry. Services range from project initiation, through project planning, execution, controlling, monitoring and closeout.

Provide mechanical engineering services in support of the successful and industry award winning St Lucie Extended Power Uprate (EPU) Project. Acting supervisor when supervisor was not available. Responsible for the oversight and direction of most of the safety related mechanical modifications required to support the EPU project. Oversight includes both technical and administrative supervision and project management. Perform Owner’s review and provide technical direction to various AEs, NSSS vendor and other supporting engineering organizations. This includes modification packages, engineering reports, calculations, drawings and equipment procurement specifications. Prepare design input documents for use by others. Also prepare/verify scope documents, modification packages, engineering evaluations and calculations that support modifications and provide input for the EPU license amendment report (LAR). Prepare responses to NRC RAIs. Identify non-conforming conditions and prepare evaluations, appropriate action plans and responses. Provided direction for the update of pump IST acceptance limits to conform with the new EPU safety analyses requirements. Meet current FPL qualifications for preparation of input documents, calculations, specifications, evaluations, DBDs, Engineering Change Packages, and perform 50.59 Screening/Applicability reviews. Worked as part of the FPL in-house design team (Nuclear Projects Engineering) in support of various plant modifications. Responsible Engineer for some of the mechanical modifications related to compliance with the NRC Orders associated with the Fukushima event. Also qualified as a verifier and as a Rad Worker.

Senior Project Manager  Responsible for management of multi-discipline design teams for municipal & industrial wastewater projects, potable & reuse water projects & chemical weapons destruction.  Successfully managed several project teams comprised of individuals from multiple firms..  Performed duties of Lead Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Quality Control Reviewer for multiple projects. Project Delivery Leader, 2003 - 2007  Concurrent with above responsibilities also provided oversight of other design managers, review & concurrence with proposed budgets for new projects & monitored the performance of these projects.  Lead the development & maintenance of standards & work practices. Group/Operational Leader, 2001 - 2008  Concurrent with above responsibilities provided administrative management & supervision of the engineers (various disciplines) & other staff. This includes workload management, performance evaluation, hiring staff & salary/bonus setting.

 Designed a radioactive waste treatment system for a first-of-a-kind project, Accelerator Production of Tritium.

 Senior Engineering Review Team leader for the design basis review of several mechanical safety related systems at Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station.

 Managed team of engineers responsible for preparing system design descriptions for the Defense Waste Processing Facility at the Savannah River Site.

 Provided day-to-day management and technical supervision to a team of engineers responsible for preparing system design descriptions for the Defense Waste Processing Facility at the Savannah River Site. All work completed within budget and schedule. Subject matter expert for licensing related issues related to the above work.

Supervising Engineer, 1984-1993 Assistant Program Manager/Technical Consultant for the reconstitution of the mechanical/I&C aspects of Watts Bar Nuclear Power Plant design basis.  Mechanical Supervising Engineer responsible for the review and approval of all mechanical work associated with retrofit designs for St Lucie Nuclear Power Plant.Mechanical Engineer, 1971-1983 Designed systems and piping, prepared equipment specifications and provided interface with NSSS vendor for nuclear power plants.
