My journey into data annotation marked the beginning of my fascination with machine learning. I took on a freelance project for a friend developing a model to recognize nails in a hand. This model was designed for a cosmetic company, enabling customers to preview how their nails would look with different shades of nail polish by simply uploading a photo of their hand.At the time, I was unaware of the underlying processes and the significance of my work. It took some time and guidance from friends to fully grasp the complexities of data annotation and its impact on the model’s performance.
