Over the past 20 + years, he has trained and mentored many industry professionals to reach for a high level of professionalism in the Material Handling Equipment Industry.Starting with a degree in business and graduate work in distribution, Al served at an internship with Kraft Foods and went on to work in distribution management in Chicago IL and Minneapolis MN. Using his training and background in distribution, he applied his knowledge in the layout and design of warehouse and distribution centers with one distributor in the 1980’s and then founded A&K Equipment Company in 1988 (now known as AK Material Handling Systems). The company has now grown to include additional divisions: WPRP Wholesale Pallet Rack Products, Pallet Rack Now, and Shelf-Clips.com. Additional abilities include 3D Cad Drawing, Instrument Rated Multi Engine Pilot, experienced athletic coach, and an aspiring guitar player.
