RedIRIS also participates in several research projects, and provides several IT services to its connected institutions.I am also in charge of some aspects related to International Relations at RED.ES, the Spanish Government Agency in charge of promoting Information Society in Spain to which RedIRIS also belongs. I represent RED.ES in international fora related to domain names (ICANN, CENTR), as RED.ES manages the ".es" Top Level Domain. I also follow Internet Governance issues (e.g., EURODIG, IGF). I started working as legal adviser of the ESNIC (Registry of ".es" domain names). I was also in charge of International Relations of ESNIC. Later, in January 2.003, I became Deputy Director of ESNIC, until October 2003. I was then promoted to Deputy Director of International Relations and Legal Studies at RED.ES, until December 2.003.
