Responsible for all aspects of the company including: short and long-term strategic planning for the business, general and cost accounting, budgeting, sales, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, project management, IT, contract negotiations and human resources of this stair steel and miscellaneous steel fabricator/construction company with annual revenues of $22 million. • Lead the transition to new ownership and implementation of new polices and systems of new ownership.• Implemented new safety procedures reducing work related injuries from 20+ annually to 24 consecutive months of zero work related injuries. Resulting in annual savings of $150,000+.• Managed 172 employees. • Reported to senior management of the parent company on a monthly basis. • Developed the profitable miscellaneous steel fabricating business line from inception to over 40% of sales. • Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the plan to wind down and close the business unit after the parent company left the U.S. construction industry.

Responsible for general accounting, monthly financial statements, job costing, prepare for, coordinate and manage the annual audit, weekly payroll for approx. 140 employees. Managed daily cash flow and obtaining both short- and long-term financing. Managed employee benefits, general liability insurance and bonding company relationships.Prepared and analyzed financial and operating reports for senior management and project managers on both recurring and ad-hoc basis. Worked with senior management to identify, resolve and implement solutions for both short- and long-term issues facing the Company.

Responsible for every aspect of the financial management for this national independent broker/dealer with annual gross dealer concessions (revenues) in the range of $45-$68 million. Our national clientele of over 600 registered representatives are responsible for new investments of $1.3 billion on an annual basis. Report to the President and Chief Executive Officer. Prepare annual budgets, regulatory filings and coordinate the annual audit by CPA. Manage all tax filings, analyze financial impact of proposed changes in business practices and provide direction to the strategic planning process.Effectively lead the reduction of the commissions department from eight employees to five employees by implementing an automated commission processing system while significantly decreasing the number errors. Supervise the payment of over 600 registered representatives on a weekly basis. Reduced the number of customer service specialists from 2 ½ to ½.Overall management of accounting staff of three, commissions staff of five (high of eight), as well as a staff of three working on special projects.
