As a credentialed, professional photographer with over 30 years experience, I bring a level of passion and excitement to my work that allows me to turn basic photos into treasured images and artistic portraits. Unlike other photographers who practice their craft as a hobby or a part time job, I own Buschauer Portrait Studio, a boutique portrait studio that specializes in: corporate photography and business portraits, family, equestrian, high school seniors, children, and women's photography. Recognized by my peers, I have received several regional, state and national awards including the prestigious Illinois’ Photographer of the Year by the Associated Professional Photographers of Illinois, and I have earned my Masters and Craftsmanship degrees from the Professional Photographers of America. I’ve had work on public display at EPCOT Center in Florida and images chosen for the Photography Hall of Fame, and I have lectured throughout the U.S. encouraging other professional photographers to reach their full potential. In July of 2002 I became involved with Hands of Hope, an organization that helps poverty stricken women and children with HIV/AIDS in Africa. This led to my first mission trip there in 2006. I returned in 2007 with a group associated with Willow Creek Church. My photos from Africa have hung in several exhibits around the country, creating awareness and hope for a brighter future.
