From a young age, I have been surrounded by a family who valued hard work and facing complex challenges and problems head on. As an adult, I’ve been able to blend those values with a focus on inclusivity and community. I believe a better world will stem from solving complex challenges through a lens of simultaneously building more inclusive teams and communities to align their efforts for success.I have been grateful to have the opportunity to spend the past few years raising my daughter at home, while also having opportunities to uplift my community. I founded the Edmonton Flatball Club and rose to the two positions of Director of Ultimate Canada and President of the Edmonton Ultimate Players Association. In these roles, I harnessed a detailed approach to stakeholder management and a focus on collaboration and motivation, this allows me to develop teams and communities that leverage each other’s strengths to reach an organization’s goals and strategic objectives.Previously, I worked as a Lead, Team Lead and Engineer-in-Training at WSP and Stantec on environmentally focused projects. The experiences at WSP, Stantec and in Ultimate provided me with strategic leadership, project management, client management, and analytical skills. Both on and off the field, I have worked closely with leaders and stakeholders to solve strategic and tactical challenges by combining patience, conflict resolution, mentorship and my strong communication and leadership skills.
