● Assisted with spinning up a new Alexa Music team in Sunnyvale, co-located with Lab126 to facilitate collaboration.● Educated new engineers on our software’s inner workings, interviewed internal transfers, provided feedback for promotions, and helped grow our team to take ownership over multiple tier-1 services.● Led the “Follow-Me Music” project to enable moving music mid-playback by voice. Built a new service to track music activities, redesigned play-queues to make them portable across devices, and added logic for new voice requests.● Designed a “Pub/Sub” system leveraging SNS and SQS to push playback updates to observing mobile clients.● Provided design guidance on projects to streamline device certification and improve playback metric gathering.

● Worked within Alexa Music backend services handling customer voice traffic, supporting over 100 million devices.● Some of the features our team was responsible for: Multi-Room Music, Sonos Integration, and support for Apple Music.● Worked closely with key stakeholders to ensure feature delivery met timelines without compromising maintainability.● Served in our team’s oncall rotation to resolve customer tickets, track deployments, and respond to high severity events.● Helped achieve operational readiness of customer-facing services for the Holidays, with traffic peaking at 2000+ TPS.● Led the Premium Music project for Alexa Music, collaborating with Echo and Amazon Music teams to enable Premium audio on Echo devices, including updates to both Device and Music Provider APIs to support multiple content formats.

● Created a new “Recently Played” view in the Alexa web app, incorporating changes to both the JavaScript frontend and Java backend, including support for infinite scrolling, deduping, and feature gating for internal testing.● Participated in day-to-day activities such as stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and design / code reviews.

● Built an internal tool using C# to convert user stories from JIRA to VersionOne, providing a simple UI with .xlsx input/output and configurable field-mapping, to help facilitate migrations of several projects.
