About Aldea Boaz
With a MA in Sociology-Teaching and a BA in Sociology-Criminal Justice, Aldéa held associate and adjunct faculty positions at multiple colleges.Twenty years in retail assisted in management of multi-million dollar accounts for Arauco during the Chilean earthquake and tsunamis of Feb 2010. In May 2014, she accepted the C.O.O. position from a Kickstarter 3D printer company, Hyrel 3-D, and led the transformation from Kickstarter to an official business in Norcross, GA. Due to declining health, she left Hyrel in Aug 2015.Aldéa was determined to improve her quality of life and began volunteering at the Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort (A.W.A.R.E.), eventually accepting a position assisting the C.F.O. of the non-profit organization. Unfortunately, her health did not improve and she had to step down. Aldéa was finally diagnosed with SFSN while at Willow Tree VA. She assisted in expanding the company and became Lead VA. She managed a virtual office and online learning for a well-known couple & sex therapist author.She is now the owner of Boaz Virtual Services and founder of two artist co-op companies.Her medical journey was a feature story on the website for Chasing the Cure in 2019 and documented in several articles and blogs since 2017. In 2023, Emory Hospital discovered the source of the SFSN, an auto immune disorder known as Pernicious Anemia.Aldéa has recently accepted a Design Crew position with Pottery Barn, a Williams Sonoma company.
