Managing a team of three analysts covering Retail (physical - home & export markets), Digital and Direct-to-Consumer channels. Responsible for: - Data collection, verification and storage (EPOS data, invoicing, returns, costs etc.) - Database design, construction, development & maintenance (Microsoft Access/SQL) - Company reporting via Excel pivot tables and Tableau dashboards/packaged workbooks (Tableau Desktop & Reader) - Sales & profitability reporting for Retail & Digital channels at account level plus at store level for major Retail accounts (WHSmith/Asda/Tesco UK/Tesco Ireland/Eason) - Budget & re-forecasts for all channels - Allocation of 40+ Mills & Boon series books to 550+ WHSmith stores and 150+ Tesco Ireland/Eason stores on a fortnightly basis using previous sales history by book & store together with other information from Account Managers - Calculation of print-run quantities - Calculation of returns provisions for Retail channel in conjunction with Finance Dept

Data collection, processing and reporting - monthly invoicing/returns data, weekly EPOS data, Nielsen Bookscan. Access databases created to combine various data sources, adding title and account metadata and driving Excel pivot reports/charts to inform business decisions and provide account reporting for the Sales Team. Reporting to the Analysis Manager and the Finance Director.

Maternity cover contract - responsible for ensuring accurate order details supplied to Harper Collins Distribution within tight deadlines fortnightly, maintaining standing order files, processing ad-hoc supermarket chart orders and reporting KPI performance. Reporting to the Logistics Manager and liaising with Sales, Analysis, Production and Finance departments.

Company sales and stock analysis, returns management, store liaison, store comms

One of three managers responsible for roll-out of 60+ new retail stores across the UK. Involved snagging & sign-off of shop refits, ensuring all IT systems installed on time, staff & store manager fully trained, manage opening stock orders/delivery/merchandising, manage store graphics orders/delivery/display, liaise with head office operations team to ensure all services in place and local press. Manage store staff to hit deadline for store opening and organise opening party!
