Aldo A Ramírez is the Chief Executive Officer of Voices College-Bound Language Academies. Aldo is an expert in systems change, facilitation, strategic planning, coaching, curriculum & instruction, multilingual programs, academic acceleration, and community involvement.He is focused on ensuring that Voices College-Bound Language Academies create the most robust pipeline of multilingual college-bound black and brown students in California by authentically and powerfully engaging all educational partners in educational improvement.His experiences range from being a child laborer in the agricultural fields of California and Washington, English Learner, first-generation college graduate, teacher, principal, district-level administrator, CEO, and avid facilitator. He has led facilitated planning and reflection sessions for numerous organizations, including the City of San Bernardino, the San Bernardino City Unified School District, the San Bernardino County Office of Education, the Palmdale School District, CREATE CA and several others.As a teacher, school administrator, district leader, and CEO, he continually looks for new and innovative ways of sharing the message of education with those in underserved communities. He has deep expertise in curriculum and instruction, English Language Development and multilingual programs.Recently, he supported the Salinas City Elementary School District's transition back to in-person learning while under the stress of COVID-19. His facilitative leadership helped students, families, and staff create a safe, welcoming, and affirming environment while ensuring a strong focus on student academic acceleration. During this challenging time, SCESD significantly improved its standing in student achievement among comparable districts.Previously, he supported a team of specialists in significantly improving student outcomes. The improvements led to five of the schools exiting their ATSI state designation within six months of starting the work and six more schools exiting within eighteen months of commencing support by the Continuous Improvement Office. As part of his coaching work, he helped a middle school administrator exit her school from their CSI designation within eighteen months of their coaching work. The sizeable middle school significantly reduced suspensions and chronic absenteeism for students of color and increased academic outcomes in mathematics and language arts.
