As a Research Services Librarian I conduct reference interviews and answer patron questions in-person, online, and over the phone. I instruct patrons on the use of our research databases and technology, such as our microfilm readers. I also promote our resources on Facebook weekly by conducting original research on topics that coincide with our special collections and online resources. Engaging our community with our collections is very important. To promote our nonfiction collection I create at least two public booklists a month on a variety of subjects. I also facilitate programming for different audiences. Upcoming, I am hosting an American Girl Talk & Tea for adults and a Zine-making program for teens. For collection development, I am in charge of weeding and ordering nonfiction books for two LOC subjects.

Thayer Academy is a 5th - 12th grade independent school. As the Upper School Librarian (9 - 12th grade) my responsibilities included programming, outreach, instruction, and collection development. For programming I focused on highlighting the importance of taking time off-line and reading for fun. I created programs included monthly take-home craft kits and personalized reading book bags. I also created connections with students at home and on campus I also made a booklist website, a "Reading for Fun" libguide, a monthly library newsletter, and managed our Instagram account. To teach students research skills I collaborated with teachers coming into classrooms virtually or in-person for instruction. I also met with students 1:1 on zoom to support them in the research process. To continually create a more diverse collection I audited each month's order of fiction books and keep weeding our nonfiction books.

The Winsor School is an independent day school for 5th - 12th grade girls. As the Pre-Professional Librarian my duties include providing reader's advisory, answering reference questions, and creating engaging displays. During the COVID school shutdown in the spring of 2020 I kept the library in touch with students through our Instagram. I coordinated themed content each week, and posted craft tutorials and book recommendations. In July 2020 I taught an online Storytelling class to 5th-8th graders for the school's Summer@Winsor program. I developed the curriculum and used tools such as PowerSchool, Flipgrid, and Loom to supplement our synchronous meetings.

The Masters of Public Health at Simmons University is an online program focused on equity and social justice. As the Graduate Assistant I managed the program's social media accounts, helped coordinate events, compiled information for professors on research topics, and edited presentation materials.

The Dublin Simon Community is an organization that works to prevent and address homelessness in Dublin and the surrounding areas. During my time with Dublin Simon I facilitated several groups, partnered with two local organizations, tutored literacy skills, edited The Client's Eye newsletter, and audited the client referral system.
