My duties include installing, testing, repairing and removing 12-volt law enforcement vehicle equipment. Equipment includes light bars, flashers, sirens, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, video cameras, laptops, printers, consoles, transport partitions, K-9 cages and more. Worked on new vehicles, upgrading existing vehicles and servicing prior installs. Also installed IPAD charging ports, Lo Jack systems and antennas on ambulances, fire trucks and police cars. Overseen others during offsite projects. Certified as an Emergency Vehicle Technician.

My duties include receiving and carrying out repair orders as dispatched. Perform diagnostic services and troubleshooting to determine repair needs. Provide labor, time, and parts estimates for repair services. Perform high quality and efficient repair services to include engine, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning in accordance to Mercedes standards. Perform quality control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete. Complete all required paperwork and documentation for repair services. Maintain an organized and clean workspace for dealership and personal tools. I actively participate in training and education programs to develop my skills and expertise in Mercedes automotive technologies and processes.

My duties include being responsible for performing diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance work for customer and dealership vehicles by receiving and carrying out repair orders as dispatched. Installed 12v aftermarket accessories onto primarily purist rated vehicles intended for use by law enforcement or fire command staff. Examples of this type of equipment included push bumpers, pit wraps, partitions, prisoner transport seats, cargo boxes, police consoles, led lighting, light bars, traffic advisors, siren amplifier and speakers, mobile radios, Lojack tracker, bank theft tracking systems (ETS/PTS), remote start systems, canine systems, and prisoner transport insert systems. Used standard automotive tools to mount or wire in above mentioned items. Assisted other technicians in various procedures and kept work spaces clean and orderly.

Performed preventative maintenance including oil changes, pre-delivery inspections, fuel system cleanings, tire rotations, differential drain and fill and multi-point inspections (visual inspect brakes/rotors, tires and under hood fluids). Work with various mechanical parts of vehicles and equipment. Work with automotive tools, materials and follow servicing procedures. Understand proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies and inventory procedures. Demonstrate experience with personal computers and software applications.
