Miller Piling is a subsidiary company of the J Reddington Group with an annual turnover circa £10million. Miller Piling own nine 40Tonne+ CFA and RBA piling rigs and operate throughout England - 80% of projects occur within London and the home counties.Current challenges:• Continuing to grow and maximise profits on jobs.• Secure some of the larger and more complex piling projects in LondonMain responsibilities involve using my specialist engineering knowledge in designing economic solutions to piling problems to secure work. This often involves redesigning the engineers scheme to make the piling solutions more economical both for the piles themselves and the pile caps. I also monitor site records to ensure piling operations are being carried out correctly and to a satisfactory standard to minimise contra-charges and remedial works.

Central Piling is a well established ground engineering contractor offering a design and build service to all sectors of the construction industry. With a fleet of 7 RBA and CFA rigs consisting of mini rigs and upto 50tonne machines most piling and retaining wall needs can be catered for. Central Piling has a turnover circa £6million. Duties included designing and costing piling packages to suit client needs. A sound understanding of geotechnics, geology and foundation engineering was required to be able to create competitive design and pricing strategies. Once a job was won duties then extended to managing the projects which involves dealing with all the involved parties to keep the job running on time, to specification and within budget.
