I'm Alec Hunter, a third-year student at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, proud to call Oshkosh my hometown.My journey revolves around pursuing a degree in Information Systems, specializing in Data Analytics. I thrive on collaborative efforts, whether it's leading discussions or fostering seamless teamwork.Recently, I completed a rewarding 9-month internship in the accounting and finance department at US Venture, gaining invaluable insights into company operations and deepening my understanding of accounting practices.At Oshkosh Corporation, I automated analysis and tracking of amortizable items, developed Excel VBA macros to streamline fixed asset management, and leveraged OneStream for Excel-based data analysis.At US Venture, I utilized various systems to complete cash tie-outs, analyze AP and AR functions, and drive data-driven budget and forecast initiatives.Outside of academics and work, I enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, and coaching wrestling. I'm passionate about contributing to the sport and nurturing the next generation of wrestlers.My aspirations lie in automating and optimizing processes in Financial Services.
