During my M.S. degree, I served as a Graduate Assistant at TerpZone in the Stamp Student Union. In this role, I managed a staff of 25+ undergraduate students by hiring and training new staff as well as maintaining semesterly schedules. I tracked revenues, prepared reports, and assisted with annual budget proposals. I worked with dozens of student organizations to process reservation inquiries and develop event partnerships, and I helped facilitate day-to-day operations of the space.

I assisted Dr. Ethan Kaplan with several projects that explore economic and political outcomes related to topics such as desegregation busing, redistributive policies, local tax competition, and electoral gerrymandering. I created comprehensive datasets by utilizing a variety of external sources like online databases, government reports, and the College Park National Archives to collect data on elections, minimum wages, property taxes, demographics, and unionization case files. I cleaned and wrangled large datasets in Stata, R, and Python through string manipulation, programming of new variables, and various data transformations.

During the Fall semester of 2020, I worked as a TA for ECON414: Game Theory, taught by Dr. Robert Schwab. I created several videos to teach students about probability theory and incomplete information as it relates to static and dynamic strategy games in economic, political science, and business applications. I also assisted Dr. Schwab in editing lesson plans, exams, and problem sets, in addition to holding weekly office hours to help students with course content.

As vice president, I served as chair of the Residence Hall Association's Senate, the premier governing body for on-campus students at the University of Maryland. I oversaw the senate's legislative agenda and coordinated the logistics of seven committees where students and campus administrators collaborate to tackle issues in areas like resident life, sustainability, transportation, and diversity and inclusion.

As the Student Fees Coordinator, I served with administrators and student leaders on seven committees that review department budgets and student fees at the University of Maryland. I also mentored Residence Hall Association Senators by giving presentations on how to review budget proposals and advocate for reasonable student fees.

During the 2020 legislative session, I interned with Delegate Carol Krimm of Maryland District 3A, where I assisted the office by researching fiscal policy, creating policy memos, and writing bill testimony. I also helped coordinate external office communications by drafting newsletters, press releases, and constituent letters.

I worked as a Sales Associate in the Housewares department at Kohl's for three years, where I first learned the salient skills of collaboration, customer service, and organization. I also conducted audits and evaluated long-term inventory strategies using BlueBird Software.
