Conducted extensive research on a variety of legal issues, both substantive and procedural. Wrote orders ruling on various motions, primarily post-conviction motions filed pro-se by inmates seeking relief. Provided case law to the Judge on an array of different issues. Discussed an assortment of legal issues with the Judge before and after courtroom hearings and trials. Observed a multitude of court proceedings including jury trials, both civil and criminal, as well as hearings on a variety of motions.

Assisted in numerous activities including: updating the electronic filing system, notifying the appropriate attorneys as important documents were received, and calling clients to update important information including phone numbers and addresses. Observed a multitude of court proceedings including trials, depositions, and interviews. Interacted with prosecutors and defense attorneys and observed a variety of criminal court proceedings. Gained valuable office experience and had the opportunity to use and navigate large electronic databases.
