My background is in urban planning with a focus on sustainable urban development, but I've been fortunate to have opportunities to diversify my skills over the past twenty years. During this time, I have developed experience in diverse fields such as environmental policy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, risk management, energy efficient building codes & standards, ISO 14001 implementation and maintenance (including auditing) occupational health & safety and property development. All of this happened while I also had opportunities to build my own skills as a leader of strong multi-disciplinary teams. More recently, (and like many of us) I also gained experience during the COVID-19 pandemic with a crash course in pandemic response and risk mitigation. But I've also had the opportunity to take a lead role in the development of an ESG strategy and reporting process for a large organization and I'm looking forward to further expanding my skills in this area.
