I work closely with healthcare professionals for the rapid development and implementation of new technologies to the clinic. Currently, I develop novel therapeutic and diagnostic agents for ultrasound-guided drug delivery. My research aim is to characterize and demonstrate efficacy in the pre-clinical setting.

Since 2019, I have led a short course on Biomaterials for second-year engineering students during the Trinity Term. Due to the pandemic, I integrated the first course to be completely virtual which consisted of interactive lectures and laboratory exercises. The successful program will be continued into 2021 and will serve as the permanent core coursework material.

Led a Biomedical Engineering tutorial program for visiting Stanford University students by developing a tutorial curriculum based on the student's academic and career trajectory by holding individual interviews and reviewing the student’s previous course and work experience.

Conducted research at the Colorado Theranostics Laboratory by designing, fabricating and validating novel material characterizations techniques. My research was focused on elucidating the mechanical properties of natural and synthetic biological thin films. Specifically, I constructed microscopy based experimental platforms and developed software for data acquisition to study a range of material properties to optimize the biomedical performance of therapeutic carriers.

As a NSF GK-12 fellow, I taught and assisted integration of STEM related curriculum in advanced high school engineering classes. My main goal was to expose students to all engineering disciplines through hands-on learning activities, which built their connection between science and engineering. Another, core responsibility was to edit and develop engineering curriculum to add to an online repository called TeachEngineering. This database is accessed by educators around the globe.

I worked within the Advanced Simulation for Environmental Management (Amanzi-ATS) where I gained experience with modern code development and testing strategies. Additionally, I worked with model specification using XML, input and output processing with Python and data visualization using Visit.
