I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences - Neurobiology and Physiology and a minor in Disability Studies. Currently I am working on taking my MCAT and will soon be applying to medical schools, with the goal of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. I have always been interested in medicine, specifically, anything to do with the heart and emergency medicine.More about myself, I am and always have been a hardworking, organized, trustworthy, professional, and devoted student/employee. I am able to work well in a team and am usually established quickly as the leader of a group, striving for excellence, timeliness, and innovation. I also work well independently and am able to complete tasks both on my own and collaboratively with peers/coworkers.I am also a people person, and have experience working in emergency medicine. I love working hands-on with patients, being able to provide them comfort and care, while also having the knowledge and skills to accurately and professionally treat their medical emergencies. I have developed many skills working in emergency medicine in the State of Maryland, including knowledge of protocols, facility capabilities and appropriate destination determinations, as well as properly prioritizing and treating patients in emergency situations.
