I've been been doing labor in the Construction field since I was fifteen years old. Started out at Landmark homes doing general labor and cleaning up on work sites. Moved onto Royal Lawn Inc. and began Landscaping and snow removal. Began a general knowledge of lawn care equipment, using plows on trucks as well as just general knowledge of tools. After a year and a half, I moved onto carpentry which really refined my knowledge of tools along with my work ethic, safety, and an understanding of the requirements that come with being on commercial work sites. I also became skilled in running a forklift. After two years of carpentry, I tried my hand at a different field of construction: Surveying. I've been working with Alpha land surveying for about fourteen months now and I can confidently say I learn something new every day. I do a wide variety of work for Alpha such as topography, boundary work, construction staking; I even do drafting on the software program CARLSON and handle some business management elements such as billing, invoices, and survey tickets. My overall goal to achieve from being a land surveyor is to be a licensed land surveyor in the state of Nebraska.

Residential CarpenterR&M Equipt Llc. May 2018 - Sep 2019Being a carpenter is a very physically demanding work environment. This job formed me into a rigid and hard working individual both mentally and physically. It heightened my knowledge and safety skills about power tools as well as all the components that go into building a house. Also a basic knowledge of weigh distribution and load bearing. This field also taught me a lot about leadership and what it takes to have patience with those working around you. As well as understanding personalities will collide and it's important to keep your mind on the objective and not take confrontations personally. Also, being a carpenter is a great field to learn what your strengths and weaknesses are and how to refine them and if not refine, at least acknowledge and be aware of were your abilities struggle. I left this job because of a higher paying, better benefiting, safer and more professional job opportunity. I will say being a carpenter helped mold me into the man I am today and was an overall great learning experience.

Electrician IntershipDoug'S Electric Jul 2017 - Aug 2017An internship on the basic knowledge of residential electrical work. Spent only about five weeks with this company installing ceiling fans, wiring cable outlets, and phone outlets. Installed some breaker boxes and learned about the how different appliances can withstand different wattages. Also learned about different sizes of electrical wire and what they're used for. Learned about safety procedures like lockout-tag out and other terminology of the electrical field. A really honest and hardworking group of guys at this company. They have very high standards of respect, integrity, and diligence which really got me into shape mentally for the working world. Really solid company and a group of guys.
