For the duration of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, I wrote, designed and published an in-house magazine for the Pleasance Theatre. Working as part of a two person team, we published an issue of the Pleasance Times every two days. I was also part of the Pleasance Media Futures Scheme, from which we received mentoring sessions from Guardian journalists Lyn.

In my final year at Reading I helped to publish eleven issues of The Spark, after working on an extensive redesign of the publication.As well as writing articles, I was responsible for selecting submissions and commissioning articles and features from contributors. At the end of our year we were awarded Student Media Stream of the Year from our RUSU.

My role at the alumni charity Giving to Reading involved liaising with former students and building a rapport with them to effectively gain a donation. Each conversation was tailored to the specific alumni and I utilised a soft sales technique to persuade them to donate.
