One project focused on the role of tetraspanin CD82 in satellite cells during muscle regeneration in a model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy while the other involved characterizing muscle defects in the rare, multisystem disorder Kabuki syndrome.Project work involved literature searches, analyzing RNAseq data using Unix and R, molecular and histological experiments, data analysis, and presentation of results.Published multiple papers including a first author paper in FASEB on Kabuki syndrome.

My main duties include running a gastric emptying test, analyzing results, mouse colony management, genotyping, mouse treatments and data management.

I worked for Dr. David Sharlin in his neurophysiology lab. My primary tasks include tagging and recording mice, genotyping, preparing solutions, and general lab duties. In addition, I performed cryomicrotome tissue processing, ELISA, qPCR, RNA extraction, and spectroscopy.
