The purpose of the project was to replace the southern 1.1 mile portion of the viaduct prior to the construction of the bored tunnel. The project sits at the doorstep of a major container terminal, the U.S. Coast Guard, a major intermodal railroad yard, and the two major sporting stadiums. Briefed the Port of Seattle and the City of Seattle (weekly basis) on how the project would maintain traffic and minimize impacts to all stakeholders.● Civil Lead for the Lenora Street to Battery Street Tunnel Planning Study (Earthquake Upgrade Project): purpose was to determine whether it was prudent to continue the 0.25 mile Lenora Street to Battery Street Tunnel Earthquake Upgrade Project in light of ongoing program developments. The study team demonstrated that several alternatives for this segment were reasonable and feasible, but somewhat tied to the outcome of the central waterfront decision that was yet to be made. Outcome: A decision to shelve the project at 60% design.● Civil engineer for responsible for geometric studies and construction staging for the Elevated Structures Team. Assisted in the proof of concept of 9 elevated structure alternatives, including suspension bridges, cable stay bridges, segmental bridges, steel bridges, precast bridges, and a side-by-side precast structure.Civil engineer responsible for the design and documentation to demolish 15 commercial structures, site preparation, and utility trench design for the realignment of SR-522 through downtown Bothell, Washington.

Civil Engineer that performed geometric design of roads / highways and planning level cost estimates. Projects include:● ACE Funding Plan, Riverside County Transportation Commission: Estimated capital costs for 22 potential grade separation projects (public safety / transportation efficiency) in Riverside County. These estimates were part of a study to program capital costs and prioritize projects via cost-benefit analysis. The total cost estimate for all 22 grade separation projects including construction, programming, engineering design and right-of-way acquisition in excess of $1 billion. ● State Route 241 Foothill Transportation Corridor South, Corridior Design Management Group: Performed the preliminary design of two access roads including horizontal/vertical controls and grading, and amended drawings. Designed the abutment grading for Chiquita Woods Wildlife Crossing and Conservancy Wildlife Crossing (two bridges). The Corridor Design Management Group (CDMG) joint venture, is responsible for design and program management services for the planning, design and construction of the 28-mile Foothill Transportation Corridor, 15 miles of which were in the environmental document/preliminary engineering stage. ● State Route 57/Lambert Road Interchange, California Department of Transportation: Assisted in the development of the highway geometrics for a planning level project study report. This study included the identification and development of a broad range of improvement alternatives, a screening evaluation and detailed study of several options in a Caltrans project study report/project development study.

Performed engineering designs and quantity / cost estimates for the design of reinforced / prestressed concrete bridges.● Fairview Interchange, Costa Mesa: Responsible for the design of the bridge widening / retrofit, construction plans, and quantity / cost estimates. The project expanded Fairview Road over I-405.● State Route 22 Freeway Widening & Retrofit (Design-Build), OCTA: Prepared engineering drawings / calculations for the Newland St bridges. Performed independent check calculations for the Newhope St bridges, Euclid St bridge, and City Dr bridge.● Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement, Port of Long Beach: Responsible for the preliminary engineering of Ramp E. The ramp alignment includes two horizontal curves and is supported on six single columns.● CenterLine Light Rail, OCTA: Responsible for the preliminary engineering 2.7 miles of elevated structure and 4 aerial stations, studies, drawings, and capital cost estimates. The CenterLine is 8.2 miles long.● Eastside Light Rail, LAMTA: Responsible for the seismic design and analysis the US101 Underpass. The 1,091ft structure is part of a new LRT system in downtown LA.● Interstate 10 Widening, CALTRANS: Performed bridge design/check calculations for widening/retrofit of: the Cypress Ave, Church St, and I-10/SR-38 SEP. I-10 was widened in the city of Redlands.● SR-210 Segment 11, CALTRANS: Performed bridge independent check calculations: 27th St , Cajon Left (widening/retrofit), and Cajon Right (widening/retrofit). Project is a new highway corridor in San Bernardino. ● Sierra Highway, CALTRANS: Performed seismic analyses to widen and structurally retrofit two bridges over the Metrolink railroad.● Cantu-Galleano Ranch Rd, CALTRANS: Performed design calculations and cost / quantity estimates. Cantu-Galleano Ranch Rd is a new interchange crossing I-15. ● Fairfax Ave OC / SR-178, CALTRANS: Performed the seismic analysis calculations for the type selection of the Fairfax Ave spanning over SR-178.

Bridge Engineer in the San Bernardino office, that performed engineering calculations and quantity take-off / marginal estimates for the final design of reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete bridges in Southern California. Projects Include: ● Date Palm Drive Overhead (Widen / Seismic Retrofit), (Cathedral City): Performed independent design check calculations, marginal estimate and quantity take-offs for the bridge spanning the railroad. The fast-track project to widen the bridge over two Union Pacific railroad tracks included the construction of two collision walls, the relocation of a number of utilities, and the seismic retrofit of the existing bridge structure.● Route 210 Segment 11 (CALTRANS): Performed quantity take-off / marginal estimates California Street Undercrossing (L/R) and State Street Undercrossing (L/R) single-span cast-in-place prestressed concrete box girder bridges. Project involved final PS&E for Phases I and 2 of a new highway corridor from the Los Angeles/San Bernardino County Line to I-215 in San Bernardino. Project includes construction of a new 0.8 mile (1.3 kilometer) eight-lane freeway, numerous undercrossings, direct connector ramps at the Route 30/Interstate 215 interchange, extensive modifications to existing streets and drainage systems, and bridges in a highly seismic site. ● 14th Street/Wilson Creek Crossing, (SANBAG): Performed the marginal estimate and quantity take-offs for a two-span reinforced concrete slab bridge. The project involves the realignment of 14th Street in the vicinity of I-10/Live Oak Canyon interchange in Yucaipa. A new bridge will be constructed over Wilson Creek as part of the 14th Street realignment.

Responsible for the overall cost control and close-out analysis of the $50 million Haas Pavilion Basketball Arena (U.C. Berkeley Campus). Audited, tracked and processed $6 million in change orders, performed monthly budget analyses, maintained the project budget database, and kept detailed financial logs and spreadsheets. Morse Diesel International, Inc. (part of AMEC) was the General Contractor charged with the Haas Pavilion $50 million reconstruction of the previous gymnasium. The arena's seating capacity increased from 6,000 to 12,100, qualifying it as a site for NCAA basketball tournaments. The building's 250,000 square feet, superimposed on about a third of the original 1931 structure, also includes classrooms, offices for coaches and staff members, locker rooms and training areas.
