I am an enthusiastic research scientist and project manager in cognitive psychology. Though my area of expertise is in investigating early cognitive development, my 12 years of research experience has been comprehensive, broad, and multidisciplinary. I have also led research projects in developmental AI, multisensory integration, visual and auditory perception, object recognition, pain perception, and executive function in children and adults. I have had the opportunity to perform and manage end-to-end research projects using several methodologies to collect and evaluate quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods data to address both theoretical and applied questions. I have received extensive mentorship, technical and professional training as a project leader on multiple successful collaborations within and between disciplines, as well as those outside of academia, such as my work with Soul Machines in New Zealand and the U.S. Army Research Laboratory. ✓ I have developed, performed and managed all operations of multiple experimental research projects, including conceptualization, literature review, experimental design, material development, development and implementation of research and ethics protocols and processes, participant recruitment, data collection, data management, development of coding schemes, behavioral coding, data cleaning and wrangling, development of analysis plan, statistical analysis, data visualizations, manuscript write-up, peer-reviewed publication process, and grant writing.✓ I have trained, managed, and mentored 25+ team members in research methods and processes, and supported them in achieving the project objectives with high research integrity. ✓ I have exceled in enhancing communications and facilitating collaboration amount project leaders and stakeholders, optimizing methodologies and data management, establish research standards and processes, and improving information flow and reporting.
