Give me a blank canvas any day! I’m a passionate ecosystem builder and purpose driven leader who loves to bring strategy to life. What’s exciting about my role as Executive Director with Digital Alberta is that I get to use my relationship building superpower to shine a light on the innovators and problems solvers harnessing immersive technology to make an impact. Our goal is to grow the interactive digital tech ecosystem. What does this require from a leadership perspective? The ability to listen, spot opportunities, identify gaps, be curious and relentlessly execute on priorities (in our case building the next gen of talent, advocating for the sector, delivering meaningful programming/points of collision and creating the conditions for an inclusive and diverse community). Previously I led Calgary Economic Development’s innovation strategy team where we collaborated with leaders in the tech ecosystem to align on north star goals to advance innovation and entrepreneurship in Calgary. I am on the board of the Centre for Sexuality and care deeply about creating healthy cultures where everyone can thrive.
