As a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience in health education, diabetes prevention and management and community engagement at the local level, I am now channeling my expertise into state-level advocacy with the North Carolina Alliance for Health (NCAH). My current role focuses on driving impactful change through the School Meals for All NC campaign, where I specialize in partner engagement and collaborative advocacy.My journey began with a deep commitment to improving individual health outcomes, particularly in diabetes prevention and management. Through hands-on work in local communities, I planned and implemented educational programs and interventions that empowered individuals to take control of their health. This foundational experience honed my skills in program development, community outreach, and effective communication.Transitioning to the state level, I now leverage my background to advocate for systemic change in school nutrition policies. At NCAH, I work to build strategic partnerships with organizations, government entities, and community stakeholders to ensure that every student has access to nutritious meals at school.
